Calling + Identity

Reverend Shanay Fontan is the founder and visionary of Jesus Juice, a faith formation community . A pastoral counselor by training and practice, Shanay’s work lives at the intersection of spiritual formation, emotional health, and the life of the Church. At the heart of her calling is a commitment to building healthy, self-aware leaders and christians who are formed inwardly and equipped to serve the Church their families and Jesus faithfully and sustainably.

Formation + leadership

Shanay holds a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary, with focused training in pastoral care and urban ministry. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Lincoln University, shaping her ability to communicate the Gospel with clarity, cultural awareness, and emotional intelligence. Her work brings together theology, counseling, and thoughtful communication to help people make sense of their inner lives in light of God’s presence.Over the years, Shanay has walked alongside individuals and communities through grief, trauma, leadership pressure, faith transitions, and the quiet work of becoming whole. She believes God is often encountered not only in gathered worship, but in the honest tending of the inner life.

Rooted Work

Before launching Jesus Juice, Shanay founded R.S.V.P. (Reconstructing Sisters’ Visions and Purposes), a nonprofit dedicated to holistic wellness and identity formation for women and girls. That work continues to inform her vision for Jesus Juice as a space that supports worship, discipleship, counseling, education, and community—serving both individuals and churches by forming leaders who can lead from a grounded, integrated place.

Shanay’s faith is deeply integrated with her family life. She is a wife, a mother, and someone who values shared meals, meaningful conversation, and creating spaces where people feel safe, seen, and cared for. Alongside her husband, her son Noble, and their dog, Shanay lives the work she teaches—believing that formation happens not only in sanctuaries, but in homes, relationships, and everyday rhythms.

At the core of Shanay’s work is a steady conviction: when inner lives are tended with honesty and care, the Church becomes healthier, leadership becomes more sustainable, and people are free to worship God with integrity and wholeness.
